Baltic amber (40-50 MYO) - an extremely rare spider (Dictynidae, Mastigusa modesta Wunderlich) Holotypus

Have had the opportunity to visit the Zoological Museum in Copenhagen and photograph some of their pieces from their collection - in the future I will regularly upload these images. All these images are registered with the Zoological Museum registration code (ZMUC-9xxxxx).
(Holotypus/Holotype = Taxonomy the single specimen designated as the type of a species by the original author at the time the species name and description was published.)

Most spiders in this family build irregular webs close to or directly on the ground. Some species from this family also usually live near the entrance to an ant nest. Typically they create a tangle of silken fibers among several branches or stems of one plant.
